A Latina Queen is Breaking the Internet: Here are Our Favorite Reactions to ‘Shakira

Shakira broke the internet by dragging her ex, Gerard Piqué, without an ounce of mercy. What a queen.

The Colombian-Lebanese singer released the breakup diss track the world didn’t know it needed alongside Argentine producer, Bizarrap for his “Bzrp Music Sessions” series. Bizarrap has previously worked with other large names in the industry such as Nicky Jam, Snow Tha Product, and Villano Antillano.

The song, “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol.53” is already on its way to making History. It’s been less than 12 hours since the song was released and it has already surpᴀssed 25 million views on YouTube.

Shakira continues to make history
Shakira is singlehandedly about to break her own record. In October of 2022, she surpᴀssed a record originally set by Bad Bunny by having the most viewed Latin music video within its first 24 hours on YouTube thanks to her song “Monotonía” featuring Ozuna. It’s evident that she didn’t come to play. She’s scoring left and right – and the crowd is in her favor. This is something Piqué can’t say about his most recent games on the field. Well, the games he attended before he retired.

Of course, a lot of people rushed to the internet to express their thoughts about Shakira’s new song and no one is holding back. Some people are tweeting their “concern” about Shakira being “too vocal” regarding her heartbreak because there are children involved. However, the general consensus is that people support the way she’s expressing herself.

For one, it’s unfair to judge Shakira on how she decides to heal. Secondly, where was this discourse when Piqué chose to cheat on Shakira in the public eye and without an ounce of shame?

Women are not going to sit on the sidelines anymore. It’s 2023 and women’s voices are louder than ever. Besides, Shakira has been known for wearing her heart on her sleeves since she was singing rock. What more did people expect?

Since there’s so much talk around “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol.53,” we are sharing our favorite tweets that have been sent out in the last few hours. Find the tweets below.
