The 41-year-old suspect , Andre Longmore, died Sunday afternoon when officers cornered him in Jonesboro, Georgia, about 20 miles from where he allegedly committed the crimes, according to officials. "The monster is dead," Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett said while announcing Longmore's death Sunday evening. A massive manhunt for Longmore ended when officers spotted him at an intersection in Jonesboro and engaged him in a gunfight, Scandrett said. An autopsy has determined that a man who died in January after police officers in North Carolina's capital city repeatedly used stun guns died from “sudden cardiac arrest.” RALEIGH, N.C. -- A man who died after police officers in North Carolina's capital city repeatedly used stun guns on him died from " sudden cardiac arrest " related to cocaine intoxication and the police confrontation , according to the state's autopsy report released Wednesday. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner also labeled the Jan. 17 death of 32-year-old Darryl Tyree Williams a homicide. The autopsy report listed the cause of Williams’ death “as sudden cardiac arrest in the setting of cocaine intoxication, physical exertion, conducted energy weapon use, and physical restraint.” A toxicology analysis in part detected cocaine and a chemical that's contained in marijuana in his blood, the report said. Taliban militants have killed four police officers and wounded six in a pair of attacks in northwest Pakistan PESHAWAR, Pakistan -- Taliban militants in a pair of attacks killed four police officers by targeting a police vehicle with a roadside bomb and wounded six in an attack on a police station in northwest Pakistan early Thursday, police and the insurgents said. The bomb killed four officers in a police vehicle carrying reinforcements sent to respond to the attack on a police station in Lakki Marwat, a town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan. Six officers were wounded in the attack at the police station. Local police officer Ashfaq Khan said a search was underway for the militant suspects who attacked the police station in Lakki Marwat and later targeted the police vehicle with a bomb.
