Mauricio Pochettino explains what went wrong for Chelsea in Bournemouth draw

Mauricio Pochettino has lamented Chelsea's struggles in front of goal following a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth on Sunday. For the second successive game the Blues failed to find the back of the net despite having 14 shots on goal and a 1.71 xG, and have managed just five goals in five Premier League games thus far this season - with three of said goals coming against newly-promoted Luton Town. Speaking to the club's official website after the bore draw, manager Pochettino pinpointed Chelsea's problems in front of goal as being central to their inability to win Game s: "I think again we need to complete the chances that we create. In the first 20 or 25 minutes we deserved to score but we did not score. "At the end the game was open, in the last 15 or 20 minutes I think we wanted to win, sometimes we started to disorganise our line because the full-back was so high, which gave Bournemouth the possibility to make some counter-attacks against us in some transitions. &q

Trabzonspor hoping to beat Besiktas to Nicolas Pepe signing

Turkish Super Lig clubs Besiktas and Trabzonspor are competing to sign Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, sources have confirmed to 90min . The Ivory Coast international was the most expensive signing in the Gunners' History until earlier this summer when Declan Rice made the £105m move from West Ham United, with Pepe joining in 2019 for £72m from Lille. However, Pepe fell out of favour at the Emirates Stadium during the 2021/22 season, making just 20 Premier League appearances that term. He spent the following year back in France on loan at Nice, scoring eight times in 28 matches. Pepe returned to Arsenal this summer but was not part of their pre-season preparations for the new campaign and has long had the club's blessing to look for a new club. 90min reported earlier this week that Besiktas were close to finalising a permanent move for Pepe, but they have been joined late in the race by Super Lig rivals Trabzonspor. by John Cardullo, sportswriter The High School Fall Season tradition is ready to take off! It is time to go and support the hometown teams and their athletes! Before the first leaf turns and falls to the ground, the 2023-24 high school Sports season is set to begin . What used to traditionally start after Labor Day, it isn’t uncommon for most high school Sports to begin before the month of August is through. Many believe the reason is because there are more classifications in all the Sports , and more teams can make it into the play-offs, the RIIL needs more time to complete the play-off and championship tournament process. This prevents crossover seasons with the winter Sports schedule which will begin by early to mid-December. It is with the renewal of the school year’s hopes and dreams for student athletes that teams and coaches look upon a fresh start to the season. Teams that were successful last season look upon continuing that success and beginning a trad
